Isn't (or wasn't) that bike a bit small for you?

It was a bit small...  I got it for a super cheap price so I had to buy it.

I once owned a 856 (or was it a 956) with a silvercoloured frame, so frame, front and bridge were the same silver colour. Most beautiful bike I ever owned! but when the vector once broke into pieces while I was speeding to keep up with my biking mate, I decided not to replace the front suspension but bought a 5500C. After that, he 856 was lying somwhere in my house until I gave it to the brother of my girlfriend. He is rebuilding is at this moment. I still regret it that I gave the frame away (and I have heared that before here on the forum)...

I've still got my 856,my wife uses it to commute to work, couldn't sell it ;D.
Here's an old pic I've dug out circa 1989,me with the motley crew I used to ride with when we all first started mtbing, sadly I'm the only one left who stuck to it,though the bikes where basic we did have a good laugh [smiley=laughing.gif].

For a an old picture and an old bike see the link below to a shot of my 953.  Check out the toe clips and the Specialized mountain bike shoes.  They were great shoes.  Crazy, but I am still wearing the Nike ACG Jersey.  It is one tough jersey.  Thousands of miles in it.  I wore it today as my second layer.  Wish I could find another...
