Derailers

Need a new front derailer on my K2 Proflex 4000.  It has an original Shimano FD M567.  From a web search they say it is Shimano Top swing bottom pull clamp on 31.8 mm.  I bought from Nashbar a Deore LX FDM571 1-1/4 clamp on.  It doesn't look like it will fit.  Does anybody know if this will work.  If not where is a good source in the USA to get one that will fit.

[smiley=diaper.gif]Thanks

Simon

The M571 comes in various versions,its 9speed but can be used with 8speed with carefull setup,
provided you ordered top swing bottom pull it should fit,if its the gold version its multifit top swing TP/BP and fits various frame diameters,1 1/4" I beleive is 31.8mm so that should be correct.
other than that look for another M576 or M739 obviously B/P top swing 31.8,
you could look at 9speed M570 or M750.
