855 Frame Value
« on: October 26, 2004, 12:38:42 am »
I have a chance to buy a blue 855 Frame with NR4 in the rear and a crosslink fork with an NR2, xt front mech, seat post, new bushings in the fork and rebuilt pivot in the swing arm.

The seller wants me to name a starting price, what do you guys think is fair? I only really want the shock so the rest would be spares.

A complete bike with that spec would be about $400-$450 USD

Cheers,

Thanks for that, the frame and fork only should be considerably less then. I'll have a think about it today and make an offer.

Not sure about a price in $$ in your country but for a good price it would make a very good aquisition considering your current bikes.

I'm yet to see an x55 in Australia without the x56 strut. Both of my x55's came stock with the x56 strut. I always found that strange. You'd think it they went to the trouble to change the strut late in the production run they could have updated the stickers.
