Nice bike, but $1250 might be a little steap.

Personally I do not think it's proper to publicly address someones 'Ebay" or any other auction price when it is not asked for. [smiley=upset.gif] Jeroen only posted it as notification here. If I had an opinion I'd send him a PM, instead. If he asked for an $$$ opinion publicly then I guess it's fair game.
But that's just my opinion. From an infrequent Ebay user.

Carbon and Jeroen,
I agree with you guys. When someone is nice enough to notify us of a listing that we might be interested in, the proper reply should be "Thank you for the information".
I am sure that Jeroen's bike will fetch a good price. There are people who are itching to get their hands on a carbon and the supply is pretty limited.
I have sold things on ebay, and it appears that their is at least one buyer for almost anything that you list. Of course, if you're the seller, its helpful to the wallet when there are two people who want your item.
Have a good day, everyone. I have to ride my carbon in my mind as its absolutely pouring, thundering, and lightning outside. Supposed to be sunny and in the 60's (F) tomorrow, ideal conditions except that the trails will be a mess (erosion problems) and winds will be up to 30 (mph). Guess I'll have to wait until Monday or Tuesday after school.
btw, tomorrow is my b-day. 49 years young and still carboning with a vengeance.

Bike has been sold to an other reader of this forum. I'm no K2/Proflex owner anymore and will be racing the tracks on my 'new' Rocky Mountain Instinct from now on.
I want to thank everybody for the usefull info this forum has given me through time.
A special thanks to Carbon Angus for sending the spareparts which made it possible to keep my proflex riding till last weekend.
Greetings, Jeroen.

I think it's only fair to introduce the new love of my life to you all, the one I left my beloved 5500C for.
Less comfort, but more 'directnes' and more speed.

It's only a little further to the top.

I added a Jamis Dakar XC Pro to my stable last year. The precise handling and balance is more than a cut above my K2 5000. The K2 feels top heavy in comparison. The trade off is in comfort, where the K2 is way more than a cut above.
If I could only have one bike, I'd probably choose the K2. Fortunately, I don't have that problem.
