Fox RC on large Oz frame

I noticed in the tech archives that the large and way big frame did not need any perch modifications for the 5000. Does this carry over to the Oz large frame as well or are mods needed on the large Oz perch to fit in an 8.5 i2i RC?

OZ frame is fine in any size... the upper shock mount is wide enuf...
its the aluminum frames that need various bits of work depending on their size..
hope that helps...

Check out my updated write-up on this very procedure.
http://www.me.mtu.edu/~pjlilles/Bikes.htm
Scroll about half way down the page and you'll see a link to my install page here, and a link to the updated version in .doc format.
If by perch you mean the lower support for the shock which is on the swingarm, you do need to cut away some of it.

I just put on a Fox RC on a Medium 5500c/Oz frame and it went on like butter. (7 7/8" Eye to Eye) No adjustments, no forcing and no filing!!! Went for my first ride today and it was awesome!!!
I have the bushing dimensions that my friend measured up for me if you need it.

So summing current responses if you put a 7.8 i2i on the Oz cutting the bottom perch/plate is not necessary, but if you go to the 8.5 i2i it is necessary... I want to get around cutting into the plate. Anyone else care to chime in before I order. Thanks to all.
To 5500C, send me those bushing dimensions. Thanks.,
