a guy's selling these on ebay

i tried to imagine riding down a tree lined trail with one of these on my bike and my bow attached.

(can you tell he probably spends more time in the garage than riding a bike?  perhaps the vertical option would be more efficient)

Nice!!!

I could see catching a branch and high-sideing  right off the bike.

Reminds me of the time my friend Knut clipped his bars on an outcropping while negotiating  some switchbacks on the Gabriellino Trail above JPL in Pasadena. Spit him right off the bike and down the side of the mountain. He and the bike tumbled until he hit the next section of trail. Gashed his ankle real good on the adjuster knob of his Marzochi Jr. T's. We found a chunk of flesh on the knob. After duct taping the wound, downing a Vicadin that  I was carrying for my root canal, he rode another 7 miles to the cars, and then drove himself to the hospital for stitches.

That is the same trail that I broke a rib, Dave impalled his bike on a stump, Don broke his crank, and Scott got knocked out cold. Gee, can't wait to go again!
