i thought i understood the positive and negative fork leg pressures. but now i'm thinking that i don't.
the right leg is positve, which i thought provided the spring when the fork is compressed. the left leg is negative, which i thought provided a resistance to the smaller and quicker bumps. but i not sure if i'm setting up my fork correctly. i ride mostly fast but bumpy singletrack in calif. the fork seems to be harsher lately. it has never felt plush.
do i raise the negative pressure to more than the positive?
or do i lower it below the positive amount?

for stutter or washboard, the fork isn't all that great...but i run about even pressure for those conditions and the little adjusting screw in the bottom backed out 1/8 of a turn from lock.
to be really honest i don't fiddle with it other than pressure about 10# lower in right side, sometimes, sometimes not. most of the time i'm even pressure, most of the time i'm fireroad riding.
are you running 100mm or 80 mm
..fork works better IMHO at 100mm for everything
the xlink was superior on those stutters
oh and pressures...70/70 or 70/65 me? 193# soaking wet add about 10# or so of [smiley=diaper.gif]and water

I run mine with even pressures in both legs, but at the low end of the recommended range. I started with pressure near the high end of the recommended value for my weight. I ride pretty hard and I was concerned about bottoming out. The high pressure made the fork very harsh. I went to lower pressure and have been very happy with the results. I have not had a problem with bottoming and th ride is much plusher. Hope this helps.
Addendum: For actual values, I'm talking 55/55 psi tops. I am 165# with gear.

I run them even at 75 psi each (me=220 lbs). I like a firmer ride.

Everyone-is this not a fork for the lighter rider such as me @ 138 with gear on? Sounds like it's a bit sticky for the more normal size riders like yourselves, and oh, has anyone spoken to Noleens service owned by Clark Jones? I hear he's still involved with some of the top supercross riders in the world and is bound to be able to wring some plushness out of your forks? These forks are a great platform with monster stanchions and are super lightweight to boot so are worth the xtra investment imo.

::)actually, the mega air is made by RST and is almost the same as their Aerosa. maybe i'll check out their tech info for any suggestions. i doubt is clark jones can do anything other than improve the rebound cartridge.
