Any other studs out there?

 ;)
The snow and ice have hit.  I just mounted a set of IRC Mud Max studded tires on the old ProFlex 5000 last week.  Of course I got them on Ebay, Matno.  After using homemade studs last year, I am hooked on factory studs::).  They have studs a-plenty compared to my home mades studded tires.  I was climbing sweet technical single track in the sugar (powder snow) and ice.  The were clawing in so well that I thought I might spin the tire on the rim.

Bombing down flat trails with ice under snow was fun too.  The surprise on runner's and ice climber's (we have a  local tall water fall (Briidal Veil) that freezes well and attracts lots of ice climbers) faces is great as you fly by at non-ice speeds.  Can't wait to find the upper envelope [smiley=turtle.gif]

Also found a website and email list for icebiking.  See
