stratos air/oil weird sound
«

I am new to air/oil shocks and the one recently installed on my 855 makes a werid scratchy squelchy sound after the bike has been left inactive and compressed, say for the first 8 compressions. Then it makes no sound and is fine. I am slightly worried about the shock being slightly misalinged. Is there any reason to be concerned?

apparently according to the stratos tech help it could be a little bit of air in the oil - called cavitation. Can be rectified by 'burping' the shock while submerged in oil.
I have checked the alignment and it seems straight.
Will check it out while riding.
cheers,
Dan

will put it down to cavitation, which I read doesn't damage the shock, and keep a watchfull eye on it. Phew!
