Non-QR Ti skewers
« on: November 08, 2003, 02:41:32 am »
Hey Guys.  I just recieved my Non-QR Ti skewers.  They were made by Machine Tech and look great.  I got them for only $25 USD from www.dusted74.com   For the weight weenies (including myself), they tip the scales in at 44 g with springs.  The springs were not included though.

With a scale of your own you're a confirmed Weenie!!  I've always stopped by the P.O. to weigh odd bits but should just eBay a scale.  Speaking of that I just picked up a new Cane Creek AD5 for < $48 U.S. 225 grams vs 450+- for my NR2.  Let us know how stable the ti feels, I have thought about using them now that my 115 gram WTBs are a bit deformed at the nylon cam.  BTW I always carry a loose 5mm so a non QR makes sense.

I'll let you know about the fit.  I'll have to space it out correctly but otherwise it looked like a straight forward install on the Oz.  I have a 5000 frame and will check that too as it's closer in design to your EVO.
