that thing looks pretty cool. I am still waiting for my Giant carbon HT frame to come from Taiwan.
i think its pretty funny in the article on that link that you posted where they say that "Taiwan are the leaders in cf techonlogy" or words to that effect.
yeah sure, like they developed the technology. that was done here over 20 years by American engineers (like me). they only manufacture cf stuff overseas, like bikes and sailboards,to reduce costs because of OSHA. those guys overseas don't even give the workers respirators in some places!
also, its funny how just a few years ago magazine "experts" were saying that cf bikes were an experiment that didn't work!! funny how more and more cf bikes and components are appearing.
its also in other sports. for instance, sailing and windsurfing. windsurfing: boards, fins, booms, mast bases, masts. sailing: i am currently racing on a cf boat with a cf mast and boom, and the sails are a cf/mylar hybrid. the winch drums are cf and even the winch handles and tiller are cf.
I love it! it took a couple other guys and myself a long time to convince my former employer and the Navy to accept cf structures in the weapons control systems we were making at the time. (late 80's - mid 90's) for a while, they would only let us wrap aluminum with cf! that was really bad!!
any way, i wonder what the next great construction material will be, now that it seems that cf is finally making it into the mainstream.

I also like CF very much. But what about the next way to use CF? I can't believe that this can be strong enough.
