I have found that the only time I use the lockout on my Razorback(Float RL) or my Evo(Vanilla RL) is on the lovely 5-7 mile fire road grinds that we use to get to the crazy fast singletrack.  I'm a Marzocchi guy, so none of my front sliders have lockout.

I like my lockout's. I use the rear more then the front I seem to be locking both on longer fire road type climbs & the rear I use more for the steeper climbs. I have noticed that towards the end of long rides (3 hours or so) I tend to enjoy the plush rear as I get tired. I guess it could be worse but I like having the options.  8)
