can you use XTR shifters with XT brake levers?
« on: July 24, 2003, 08:29:48 am »
I want to upgrade my shifter from XT to XTR, but want to keep using my XT brake levers. why? because I will be upgrading to Formula hydraulic disk brake system one day in the near future.

question: will the XT brake levers and XTR shifters work together, that is to say, will they snug up nicely to each other? I don't see why not, but just thought I would ask first. thanks

As long as the brake levers and shifter levers aren't part of an integrated "pod" you will be fine.
