ive often wondered if the lefty fork had a removable steerer tube as if it had thenit would be no problem turning a new one to suit 1" 1/8, also i think the dale is 1"1/4. i may be wrong and if anyone on here knows better isnt there an oz kicking about with a lefty on it in the old gallery?
an oz is for life , not just for xmas!

That should be the USE Sub fork. The photo was on the old gallery, but the fork was this one:

Yes, I believe so. It was in the old gallery.
It had even a bigger "wow" effect than with any crosslink or fournales fork.

There's a guy who periodically sells 1 1/8" steertube adapters for Lefty forks on ebay. Makes them compatible with just about any frame. Price last time I checked was a Buy it Now of about $85 usd.  Seemed kind of pricey to me, but then, the Lefty fork is very pricey. However, I happen to be a very big fan of the Lefty. Particularly the Lefty Max with TPC+ damping... Awesome fork.

Seems like anyone with a machine lathe could make an adapter pretty easily. Someday I will have a machine lathe!

+1

Judging by the interest, it might be fun to put another stickie at the top of the forum list with "readers' rides"
Full spec of the bike
WEIGHT
Type of riding the bike was intended for
Maybe a photo.

Just an idea, then those who want to can start looking for the bits necessary if we want to approach that weight.

I have to admit that 10 kg for an OZ is mighty impressive...

The guy I bought my 5500 from had it down to 21 lbs.  But he was pretty small.  The frame is a large, but he had a real short stem and seatpost.  Also, he was a weight weenies member and lived down the street from a Supergo (I think that's the name).  Any way, he would walk up with his portable gram scale and weigh parts in the clearance aisle.  It all adds up.

We have had a discussion like this before.  I had mine under 25lbs (And I'm 6'2) until I put the Maguras on, so I could actually stop.  I want the new EVO2 kit for those bad.  They are very carbon friendly.  Any way, sub 25 is pretty do-able.  It's lower than that, that is hard.  Mine could be lighter pretty easy, but I like the whole easton carbon theme I have.
