RIP another LBS... Curse you WalMart!

Bad Day - Good Day
For 3 years I've had a terrific LBS just 1/4 mile from the house. Great guys to hang with, figure out how to keep the 856's running, and just talk bikes with. They always told me about good deals - "Hey you want a new WTB seat for $8?" - and even shared their private pump track. Yesterday they closed doors suddenly.
On the bright side I scored a new Giant Trance for half price...
And now, as my wife reminded me, I have too many bikes. Again. ...but alas, not enough bike shops!

sign of the times... looks like there will be a widening of the gap between the walmarts and the custom manufacturers/frame builders who sell direct with nothing in between in the shape of an LBS :-(
