Spin/ Spinergy Valve extenders
« on: June 11, 2006, 11:32:36 pm »
Hi All,
I've got a lovely set of Spin wheels to use on my bike(s) but I need valve extenders for the inner tube valves to show through the deep section hubs.
Anyone know where I can get some from? Presta or Schraeder (UK preferably).

I've been told that motor factors and tyre fitters should hold them for motorbike tyres, but I just got a blank look when I asked....!

Thanks
Colin S

I'm sure you can get hold of tubes with long Presta valves quite easily, I happen to have one on one of my wheels. Unhelpfully, I can't remember where I got it. It must be at least 5-6cm long - would that be long enough? It's not like normal presta in that it doesn't have the screw down locking ring, it's like Shrader in that respect.

Your LBS or Ebay should be a good source.

I have been using Ritchey long stem presta tubes in my Spinergys. In fact my spare tube has to be the long presta because it will fit all of my wheels, as they are standard  schaeder.
