Razorback team with titanium shock
« on: February 12, 2007, 04:50:32 am »
Hello all!

I saw a Razorback frame on Ebay, and it has a titanium rear shock. It's looks to be just a coil. How does rebound work with such a shock? The same amount of force that will compress the coil will decompress it and it won't be any good, or am I mistaken?

I need enlightment cause I really like the frame.

Titanium coils work fine (on my 4000 anyway!)

They work just like a steel coil and the shock does the damping (in both directions generally)
On the plus side they're much lighter; Steel 230g, Ti 140g; and don't rust!

I've never seen a coil Razorback either:
quote from advert "I chose the Noleen titanium coil shock instead of the air shock because of it's durability and a more progressive feel."

But I'm sure theres a Noleen pull shock within the coil!

Looks like a compession shock to me,

can't see a problem I'd go for it.
