Newbie 3000 Build...HELP

I'm new to the Proflex/K2 community, but I'm already addicted! I'm so happy to have found this site. Anyway, I was given a NOS bare 3000 frame and hit the ground running. I'm already in way over my head, but I can't stop now. I fell into a great price/condition carbon crosslink and have the front end pretty much covered, but the rear is another story. I bought one of the carbon swingarms that have been all over ebay lately, but I don't have anything to go with it. I'm needing a shock, strut, spacers, hanger, all the pivot point parts, etc. Is any of this stuff available new or used? I've been scrounging ebay, but have come up pretty empty. I'm a descent fabricator, so I'm not afraid to make things work, but just bolting on would be nice. I do have access to another 3000 for reference. Thanks for any help.

Oh man, the strut is going to be hard to find, because they can break and are getting rare.
I have heard that Noleen shock service may sell rebuilt shocks for about $100.
The swingarm pivot kits may be available from Iron horse, as well as strut bushing kits.
But I would think the strut is your big problem. For reference, most all the world cup/x57 struts are interchangable.
Keep posting updates to your find, and someone here may find a spare for you. There are still other options, but rule out the easy ones first.
Good Luck, Terry

Not sure where you are Razorback (US/UK?) but I have a friend who might be selling his old Beast frame (the one that was basically the same as an 857) - he'd probably part with it without shock for £40-50, maybe less. Might be useful for pivots, hanger and strut. They should be in good nick as I sold the frame to him and they were in OK condition then.

That's good to know about the parts interchanging. I knew they looked alike, but I didn't know for sure. I'm definitely watching the auction link as well as another one that was just posted.

I'm guessing the high bidder proflex_man might be kind of hard to beat, so I might just wait it out for the second one and make both of us happy. The beast frame would be appealing, but I'm in the US, Arkansas to be exact. On that topic, anybody ever want to make a trip to ride Syllamo, I'm always down. I live 20 mins. away. I'll keep everybody updated as well as post some pics when I get everything together.
