Ah Fife. A place I've actually been. My great grandfather Webb was born thereabouts before he crossed the pond and ended up in the Rockies...

The bike looks nice, but it's probably not worth much in terms of resale value. Worth more in terms of a decent ride... I'm not real familiar with Pace forks, but if it's a smooth fork, you should be set.

Your 957 looks like it tips the scale at 28 to 30 lbs. It is an interesting mix of parts, but the frame and geometry is more suited to XC duties. As is, I would not think it would fetch more than $600 US dollars.

In the right hands(mine) the bike is a blast. Fast and lite. Currently my favorite bike until cold weather reaches California, then I will be doing epics on my long travel bike.

Personally, I think the value will only increase on your bike, so I would not think of it as an expense, but as an investment.

The x56  and x57 series are very underrated and overlooked these days. But can keep up with the best of them, and were way ahead of thier time in the 90's.
