Carbon rear brake mounts
« on: October 06, 2006, 09:50:09 am »
I know its been a couple of years now but to follow up on the topic as i cant find the thread.
I made the carbon mounts but you would still need to drill and tap a thread into the alloy bracket to clamp it on.
Also i mounted one on my bike and used Hope 180mm four pot brakes and after excessive use i didnt find a build up of heat.

They are as light as a feather !!!

Dom - what models do these disc mounts fit? I have 3 proflexes I'd like to disc up, and Callum has stopped selling the mounts for two of them :-( Do they fit a 955 (same swingarm as 865), 957 (carbon swingarm) or 1997 beast (aluminium swingarm)? Are you really giving these away? And if you are, can I at least pay postage and a coupla beers costs? I've sent you a private message with my address in it, please let me know if you've got it and whether the mounts will fit; the 955 and beast I can't get a mount for so am desperate, the 957 would be to save a little weight so is less vital!

Back in the day, (before you temporarily disappeared...) I recall asking for one of your carbon beauties. If you still have one available, I'd LOVE to have it. It would be an excuse I need to upgrade the second 5000 to discs... PM me if you've got one.
