9 series carbon swingarm on a k2?

Can you put a 9 series carbon fiber swingarm on a k2 evo?  If so are there any mods that need to be made?

I recall that Simon did a sealed bearing conversion for me, and all the hardware and bearings were the same for both 9 series swingarm and Oz.:-)

What is uncertain is the strut length.

Carbon Angus has a hybrid. Take a look.

i meant that it was a swingarm that fit 959s and so forth.  that picture does help.  I don't have seatstays on my bike, my shock bolts directly to the swingarm.  That will definately make a difference!

Ok, so I see what you mean about the 9 series thing.  I had the numerology all mixed up.  And...you were spot on, the swingarm in question is not the same design as the one on my bike.  I would need the type that would fit an oz.  I'm going to send this guy to this site so he can post the swingarm.  thanks for the help

Yes these are a straight swap.

98 evo carbon arm part number 15482
98 5500/4500 carbon arm part number 15482
99 Oz carbon arm part number 15482

as you can see they are the same arm

however you won't gain anything by swapping over
except the cool look,
they weigh virtually the same and the carbon arm flexes more.

Simon.

I dunno if I can swap swing arms, on my race Pro~Flex. the width of the 8 series and evo's are different on the main bearing of each. Never had an inkling to see. My son is getting the Oz when he gets a wee bit bigger. I'm wed to this Race bike.
