My 756 project has come to an end, and after one ride I honestly dont know how i ever lived without it. I've wanted a world cup bike ever since i was in high school,(graduated in 96') but at the time on a dishwashers salary i had to settle for a $500 steel shcwinn hardtail,(which also was just recently rebuilt) now i have two bikes from the mid 90's that i probably would'nt trade for anything. I am so happy to finaly own a Proflex world cup bike. Let me know what you think(more pics in gallery) Thanks to all of you for the inspiration, and by the way the smart shock still works like new [smiley=nod.gif]Good day all, Matt

Very nice! Dont' stop at 2 bikes - now you're on a roll! I'm on my 3rd Proflex since only buying the first one last October! I still have all 3 and wouldn't sell them.

Oh man! That is a beauty!
That grape color is really nice against the yellow elastomers.
Dare I ask what it weighs?
Nice job,
Terry

went to my lbs today and put it on the scale...28.7 [smiley=worry.gif] was hoping it would be a little lighter. My steel schwinn hardtail weighed in at just under 27, i was sure it was heavier than the 756, oh well looks like im not done spending just yet

Very nice work. That's really a light bike considering the investment. It will take a helluva beating and come back for more.
When you think about weight, it's amazing, that most bikes being sold for $1,000 - $3,000 these days weigh over 30 pounds! ...Love the one you're with!
I really like the Truvative cranks (2 rings, right?) and the fairly plain appearance. Simply elegant.
You're probably stuck with the elastomers on the back given that upper shock mount position. But y'know, they sure are hard to beat for simplicity. They never leak of blow a seal. I'm guessing you're pretty light from the frame size, so they should be a great suspension for you.
Props Dude!
