Upper link mount on top of crosslinks
« on: May 19, 2006, 05:31:19 am »
What does it mean if the upper link mount on the top of my Noleen Crosslinks ELT has a short drop to the pivot that holds the stantions compared to my Girvin Crosslinks that have a longer 'drop'. I.e. the former is a right angle with sides of equal length and the latter with one side longer (horizontal) than the other. Am I making myself clear? Bit difficult to describe!

Is one for longer travel or is it that one is the 'standard' size and one the 'long' size?

Ah I think I found my answer (see bottom of picture). I think my Girvin has the after market ULM and my Noleen has the original equipment ULM...

you have sorted it,as it says in the diagram the after market ULM for the crosslink allows for longer headtubes, but i think this is for 97 girvin crosslinks,or for noleen crosslinks found on the 98 1000.2000,and 3000 strut bikes(which i guess are atually girvin crosslinks rebadged as noleens. In 98 the rest of the crosslinks went to a 168(or was it 163) C.M
