This guy has the worst fetish for Carbon ever.  I checked out some of the other things he has purchased on Ebay.  He even fits Carbon things to motorised model radio controlled cars etc.

Maybe he's selling because he feels he can not fit disc brakes to his rear swing arm.  I'm guessing he had never found this forum.  I sent him a message about this forum, so if he logs on he might realise what he is going to loose and keep it.

I  agree with jeff, VERY disappointed that there aren't even carbon cranks. I also agree with Oz-sub that he doesn't realize what he's going to be missing if he sells this thing. maybe he just really needs the money, who knows?

also, shimaNO mechs? you've got to be kidding. why not the SRAM (fake)carbon stuff?

otherwise its ok, I like the wheels, tho I prefer my Rev-X's.

You know, I have to take some exception to this.  Mine is covered in fiber, and I HAVE Carbon cranks!  And SRAM bits (except FD).  I just couldn't afford the Zipp wheels, and the Carbon seat doesn't seem too comfy.

I'm a freak too!  [smiley=laughing.gif]

Yes, after having no luck with selling the complete bike I have decided to strip it down and sell bits seperately. There are bits on the bike that I can use on a current project that I am putting together.
I would really have liked to sell the complete bike to a good home but still!
After getting my whyte 46 I have just got to get rid of some bikes and bits that I have been hoarding for a rainy day.

Arrrgghhh [smiley=dead.gif]  I'm a carbon/carbon engineer in the aerospace industry.  The stuff is such a pain to produce, it's lost all visual appeal to me.  [smiley=disbelief.gif]

whisper,

I agree with you about the chinese guys and their scams. they obviously think we americans and europeans are stupid, and they may be right. after all, most of us are buying the lousy crap they make over there, and then they use the profits to build/buy  weapons that they will use to crush us one day. ok, enough of a rant.

anyway, I bought my Giant cf hardtail from a guy in Hong Kong off of ebay. I never thought it would ever get here. I lodged complaint after complaint on ebay, the guy never replied, and then after 5 or 6 months, the thing showed up! amazing, it must have been on the slowboat to US!

all in all, I hate the ebay and email scams that keep popping up. what is with those people? (the scammers, that is).
