Hi all, long time...
« on: March 03, 2006, 12:31:51 pm »
DiRT (dave twede) here.

Probably not many of you remember or know me, but I left Ann Arbor last year and moved to Colorado Springs.  My K2 5500 has yet to be ridden here--need to rehaul the swingarm seals/bearing.  Got the RK008 kit and am looking here for the details of how to mainain/fix the swingarm.

Any help would be appreciated.

dave

No, not that kind of bunny.  The small, furry, long-eared, pudgy nose kind.

Hey Dave sure has ben a long time. There are copes of the bike manuals in the How Tos and you may find some specific info in the Files section....I dont think you will have any trouble.Check them out and welcome back...I refered to your geometry page just the other day!.We still have a link to it!

Dave Twede's unofficial K2 info

There is quite a bit of useful K2 info here, especially comparison charts from all the K2 models for several years back, as well as geometries, personal bike pics, etc.

Thanks, Kiwi.  I think I remember OP having some kind of guide too.  I'll look for that.

Hey CA.  I got some docs here and will be trying to make time to redo the swing arm this week (though on travel back to MI for part).

So I will probably ping you all sometime soon.

thanks
dave

DT - my friend!!!

I check in here every now and then as I'm spending most of my time with my archery and trying to lose those extra 15 pounds I gained by hanging up my bike and focusing on archery.  Nothing too aerobic about shooting a longbow unless its' running from really angry hog that I just PO'd-

OP
Yeah, they don't make 'em anymore - it's a classic - - -

Hey, OP!

You can either outrun the hog or let it gore you.  Either way, you'll lose weight, at least in the short run.

So how many k2 bikes/frames do you own now?
dave

PS. I got a new hobby too.  See that surrealcolor link up top.
