Welcome to the new and improved Proflex / K2 Tech Forum!
Andrew...If I remember right you're under 200#? If you plan to stick with disks on Frank, I should send you my Vector EXP forks with the disk mounts. (I just "won" a set of Noleen Mega Air's on ebay... $36! [smiley=nod.gif])If you're going with V-brakes, it looks like ediscount bikes is still selling some EXP's on ebay. I've even seen some really loooong ones for you. They're selling for way cheap, too. $50 - $100.Go man go.
I weighed in my long EXP's at 3.75# - with the disk brake mount.Only 2-1/2" of travel, but they go EXACTLY where you point them. Just as stiff as can be. Brake dive is a bit too exciting for a heavier guy like me, but I like 'em for XC.Didn't know you had ELT's... they're probably identical.ediscount has good pictures on their ebay auctions.
I've got all winter to figure it out.
Figure this out. While my Oz is torn down to be "Simonized" I have transfered all my lightweight components to my 957 with the Smart(not)forks. I had my fastest ride in years last night. Cut usual ride time by 10%. I would never take it on some knarlier trails, but I was flying.Terry
Oh Andrew... what a long cold winter of cyclospection ahead of you.BTW - just got my $36 Noleen Mega Air.. It's absolutely a beautiful fork. Rock simple and an honest to goodness 3 pound fork. Not to make you too unsettled, but this should take my way big/no paint 856 below 26 pounds - with zero bling bling. Lovin' it.Gotta go wrap Terry's swingarms in undershorts and get packed for England... [smiley=nod.gif]Also BTW, it was 65 degrees this afternoon. Nice riding weather. Y'all c'mon downa Texas, ya heah? Will
