Easy Home Made Halogens

Attached is a link to instructions for easy home made 35W halogens. I have made six sets for myself and friends, and we used them throughout the recent NZ Winter. They are far superior and lots cheaper than the 10W - 15W sets you can normally buy retail.

I get 2.5 hours ride time from a 7aH SLA battery.

I use Lumicycle lamps - they're fairly well known in the UK but not really elsewhere.  They get rave reviews and you can buy the batteries/chargers/lamps separately so you can build up your perfect setup. the haldide lamp units are fantastic.

I would say that 50% of my riding club use lumi's.

I had the same problem - Open the HTML File and click on the spaces where the images should be and they will open.

Just mount one of these to your bars http://www.dorcy.com/1_watt_led.htm . Small, compact very light and are Very bright!! They use Luxeon 1 Watt LED's. The 3 (don't laugh!) AAA bats last me about 25 hours total. I just made a mount for the bars - and I can just take the light out of the mount for walking the trails. You can be creative with your own mounts - I used one made for a "cat eye hl-500" and screwed it on to the alum tube of the dorcy light.
Just thought I would throw in $0.02. I don't work for them - the light just seems to work for me :).
