please help me identify my bike
« on: October 26, 2005, 04:57:14 am »
i just bought this bike used from a friend who bought it at the swap meet over a year ago. it has "K2" and "Exotec-4" painted on it(not stickers) but its not a K2. i couldnt find ANY info reguarding exotec on K2's website. i emailed K2 and asked if they could help me, they said that the exotec isnt made by k2, and that it was probably made overseas in the mid 90s, and that he had no other info on my bike.

the bike is neon yellow, the frame is alluminum, its a 21speed, twist grip shifters, rockshox judy t2 forks, mavic sup x517 rims, panaracer tires with a red stripe on the sides, aluminum 3-piece cranks, aluminum stem, shimano stxRC derailers, etc.

heres a pic

if anyone has any info on this bike, can you please help me out?

thanks

definitely not a K2bike.  it looks like a tiawanese frame loosely based on the old mongoose frames - look at the rear triangle and you'll see what i mean.

Your right, the rear triangle isn't far off my mongoos IBOC frame.
