Matno,

Hey, sorry to hear of the injury. Take it easy man.
No sense in agravating that injury, especially if it is a strain.

Now you may have time to tinker in between road rides?

really really important to rest the shoulder.  I broke mine in a cycle crash last september and it took 6 months before I could really get on a bike properly.  I now have the customry blip sticking out of one shoulder blade that people who have broken collar bones seem to get!!!

real battle scars!

Dang. I just ran into my doctor yesterday at a meeting (I actually work in the orthopaedics department at my med school, and I'm applying for a residency in orthopaedic surgery for next year). At my office visit, we didn't specifically discuss riding (I think we both assumed no mountain biking) but then he leans over to me and says, "Now you know you can't do any riding until you get your MRI, right?" So I say, "well, what about road riding?" And he says, "Absolutely not! No riding of any kind!"

Dang, dang, dang, dang, dang! >:(

I guess in the long run that's a good thing though. The last time something like this happened was just before the start of my first riding season on the new Proflex. I may have pushed a little too hard, and as a result, my bones did not fuse properly (or at all for that matter). Ended up needing surgery, which required an ADDITIONAL two months of recovery. Doh. I hope I learned my lesson...
