Anybody tried a Manitou Swinger 3 way on evo.

Recently I purchased a Giant Reign with this rear shock, and it performs very very nice.

I have thought about an air shock for my evo for some time, and this may be an excellent option; reduce weight, improve pedalling, maintain or improve shock action.

I have a 3 way air on my EVO 3.0 and I love it. Pedaling efficiency is vastly improved. I have a picture of it posted on this site. In the galleries under giantbikeboy. Good luck with it. My shock is an 05 and is the longest one they sold. It was about 1/4 to 1/2 inch shorter than the NR1.
It's all about the ride.

Did the 3 way bolt right in or did you have to make any adjustments?

Plushness wise, how does it feel on the evo?

I currently have a Fox Vanilla R on my evo, and it is a very supple shock. My 3 way on the Giant reign, feels.......basically just as plush as the Vanilla R on the evo, but bobbing is much much less, even though I am running the spv chamber with very little air.

I have used the Reign only a couple of times, and am impressed at how sophisticated the new generation of shocks feel. I am not sure if the 3 way has speed sensitive damping, it feels as if it does.

Anybody else  has experience with this shock on the evo?

I have an Air 3 way on my oz. It would have bolted right up but was short so I made an adapter. Before that I mounted a 4 way coil that bolted right up, except for fililng grooves into the spring cap to clear the swingarm mount. I also ground a bevel into the spring for more clearance. After that I rode happy. They work great by the way.
