Proflex 856 frame free in Austin, TX

OK, I give up. I just don't have the time to put my 856 back together after my shock explosion.

So, free Blue Proflex 856 frame and misc bits (some with yellow goo on them) to the first person that emails me.

You MUST be in the Austin area and willing to pick it up. I'm not going to ship it.

You guys aren't going to believe this...

The fine gentleman who started this thread has given me a royal blue (purple) 856.

Clearly, I owe this guy big props.

The bike is 100% original with very few miles on it. The problem is the elastomers have turned into goo. If you've never seen this, it's an intensely sticky, nasty glop. I'll try mineral spirits, WD-40, and gasoline.

Also, one of the ODS units has blown out. hmmm

Looks like a perfect opportunity to build a faux bar linkage (ala Simon), put extended links on the forks, and add on disc brake mounts.

Can hardly wait to get started!
