how much do you tighten the cinch bolt on the pivot of the Easton carbon swingarm? I just have it fimly snug with no leverage on the hex wrench.

You need to put your bike up on a stand,
remove the rear wheel and rear shock,
undo both pivot pinch bolts,
raise the s/arm up and tighten 1 pinch bolt until
the s/arm stays raised under its own weight,
loosen the pinch bolt gradually until the s/arm drops
slowly in a smooth arc,
repeat the other side and your done,
this ensures they are evenly set, essential for long bush/bearing life
simple really.
note they won't be very tight infact they may seem
a bit too loose for comfort, never had a problem when
I used to use these but if it does concern you put
a dab of low strength loctite on the threads,
Simon.

No cinching!

Remove the shock bolt and loosen  pivot screws until swingarm  can move freely. Then raise and tighten equally until you feel some resistance but it will slowly drop on it's own. That is what the factory had told me.

Use OP's lube technique and you can't go wrong.
