quick fork question...
« on: March 18, 2005, 12:55:20 pm »
Hey guys.  I posted a question on here last week regarding fork slop.  I've determined it's not the bushings.  Here's my question:  I'm 200 lbs.  Am I going to feel, and hear, some clunking/knocks from my fork when going over small chatter bumps?  I either don't yet have my Marzocchi MX (air) dialed in yet, or it's just one of those inevitable things when you have a big arse like mine.  Larger bumps/humps are no problem; just the little, quick stuff.  Thanks for any insight.

Pirate, my Marzocchi Z-3 light had the "SSV" (speed sensitive valving).  It used to make some noise on small, quick "hits"....noises are hard to describe, but I could even "feel" it through the bars. That might be a possible source. Dan

Thanks Dan.  Did you fix the problem or just learn to live with it?

Dont forget to take a look at your headset. You dont want that to come loose or break on you. ;)
