Ultimate 6" fork?
« on: March 29, 2003, 02:41:32 pm »
Well, Maverick's fork has finally hit production, and it looks like a winner in all but the compatibility category...
3.25 lb, 6" dual crown fork. Super stiff, incredibly light. Price is decent for a dual crown ($600+)  Durability remains to be seen.

Here's the first real review I've seen:

Somebody needs to put on one an EVO and let the rest of us know how it is!

Thanks for the link, Matt.  I've been waiting for a test on this and expected/hoped it would be positive.  Now to find a slightly used one.....

A friend of mine got his hands on a prototype last year and said the fork was very flexible. I think we have to watch this. If the thing is not durable enough for freeriding, as the comments suggest,  then I don't see the point in it being a 6" dc fork.

I was always against air shocks but have been riding a POS marzocchi Z5 for the last year and it actually works OK. But I only paid 130 for it, for 600+ I am gonna want perfection!
