EVO Frame weight???
« on: January 20, 2005, 02:39:34 am »
Hey gang.

I built up SDmike's frame set without weighing it and it is more rigid compared to my Oz. Could be the alum swingarm and the crosslink forks are more rigid than my carbon swingarm and Psylos, but ther might be more strength in the frame itself.

Anyone know the weight of a Large Evo frameset? I know th weight of an Oz frameset is specified at 6.7 lbs.

I just weighed a medium evo, 4500 I think ( alum. triangle and carbon swingarm )

 5.31 pounds  without shock

It was a shipping and parts scale here at work, so I think it should be fairly accurate.

Thanks Ed,

Just what I needed to know. The Evo really rides nice. It's a keeper.
