I have a prototype I have been playing with. I will post a picture tomorrow morning for you.
It works fine, although isn't the most beautiful looking piece.
Ironically the adapter I have was made to fit a risse genesis made for a different bike.

I had an adapter made and a Fox cut off and it's working more than satisfying fore more than one year now. I just bought a new Fox and had it also fit for a 756. The pic's are still in the "Files" under "Fox vs Girvin". The next step will be an adapter that fit's in the strut, like on the pic, but with an eyelet so a standard shock can be used without having to change the shock and a standard 165 mm can be used. I'm just waiting for the CNC-engineer (he's having other problems at the moment).
Next step will be another adapter with more travel but that's giong to cost some more sleepless nights!!!
The frame is too good to give up!!

Deanos adaptor makes mine look pretty ordinary, but it works.
I've finally put pictures in my gallary. The bolts weren't done up tight when I took the photos which is why things look a little out of alignment.

Hi Kiwi,
tis indeed. [smiley=nod.gif]
The original end of the old elastomer shock that came with 855. Sawed it off. The original bolt passes through the strut and adapter and into the threaded end. I hold it tight and increase the required torsion on the bolt. Because the adapter has optimised surface area contact with the strut (855 strut so no cone recess), a lot of the flex/twisting forces on the bolt are eliminated, I guess. Plus down push pressure is directly onto the old elastomer threaded end and in turn against the strut. [smiley=nod.gif]
All I did then was pack the cavity with very lightweight fibreglass filler and heypresto.
I rode this for month like this and it took a real beating with no problems. Have me 5000 running with the Stratos now.
