If you do a search for the thread Modern OZ build you will see the adapter I used. This is the Hammerhead adapter that one of the guys on here (Mike)used to make. I have a spare that I can trace a pattern for you. It will suit 4000,5000, 4500 and OZ swing arms.
He may still have the odd one for grabs.

I'd love to find someone that can give me a drawing of one so that I can build one or 2........I have a huge sheet of 7075 aluminum could make a couple.  but my computer with my cad program is down for an unknown period of time so cant duplicate that way.....

It's been a while (like 20 yearsish) since I looked at this but the spring setups are obviously different between the two.  Swapping whole shocks would be the option.  Not sure which spring will be easier to replace.

My son is 10 and is starting to get into mountain biking.  He had a rigid 24" bike I outfitted with an old set of LX RF+ and a old triple crank set and he's been riding that on the trails.  He's been itching for a new bike but I didn't want to drop money on a new bike until he gets big enough to ride a 27.5.  We were up visiting my parents and my dad gives him his old Raleigh M50 that I had set up for him with my old Girvin Vector 2 when I moved to the Crosslink Pro Carbon.  He actually fits and rides comfortably on the bike but I had set up the fork for my dad who was closer to 200lbs.  It has the red Speedsprings by Eibach labeled MS-Pro3 I don't recall what the weight range they were for but I'm guessing at least double my son's weight.  My bike had the NB2-200 listed for a 140-170lbs rider.  Since I'm about 20lbs heavier now than when I originally set up my fork I'm now over that limit so I'm thinking at a minimum to move the NB2-200 to my son's bike and use the red spring for myself.  I can't say for certain the red spring is for a heavier rider but just looking at the number of coils I would assume so.  I would still prefer to find a lighter weight spring as he doesn't get much activity out my Pro Carbon with the NB2-200 when sitting on my bike.  Would the elastomers offer a better ride for someone of his rider weight? Or should I look for an even lighter spring?  I'd imagine trying to find a lighter spring will be like trying to find a needle in a haystack. 

 Also hard to see in the pictures but it looks like one of the black spacers on each side of the shock on the topshock mount is cracked and about to fall off of his.  Im thinking a plain nylon washer will do as a substitute.  I'm guessing it's to keep from getting metal to metal binding and doesn't really need to have the contour to the spacer.  Some old school Girvin bike porn.

I'm cleaning and rebuilding one I bought back in 2001 or so. It's set to 100mm travel. Besides the pitting on stanchions near crown (one reason why boots woulda been nice...LOL) and some wear on the stanchions, it all looks pretty good with some play but I don't know how to replace the bearings. I've opened it up a few times to clean but never able to get the threaded rod guide off (right side of fork) . I wish those weren't hard plastic. I have spanners but it won't budge. Not a big deal.

To make a long story short I have two bottom out bumpers in my hand but the manual only shows one.

What should I do? I think the other bumper should be under the Seal Cap, part #18 on page 7?

For those who don't know - the fork is 'helium' lite. One reason is both chambers are air but it's not as adjustable or as rigid as a crosslink.

Will it work on the carbon swing arm for a 98 5000. I'd also be interested in measurements as my neighbor has a machine shop in his garage.

Nope, it will only work on the evo aluminum swingarm for later models. I have one currently used on my 2002 Bumpy Monkey and tried to match it to both a 857/957 swingarm and carbon 4000/5000 swingarm with no luck. Something specific needs to be fabricated.

i think that the legs themselves are the same length BELOW the lover pivot point as the std version,so the extra length will be as spacers above the had tube .The difference will be the "critical measuremt" between the two versions of the fork.why dont you mock it up to see .To see how it looks you can use anything as spacers

Fabricated disc brake adaptor for 1999 K2 4000 full suspension bike. Part was created  on a CNC and can be created again for anyone interested.

Hello,
I messed up and bought a carbon Crosslink that is the extended length version for a way big frame. Questions: If I install the fork on my large 657, how much will the handling be effected by the longer legs? Since it will take about 50mm of spacers to make it work, how dumb will it look on a large frame?
