The plane ride was a gift from one of the neighborhood kids whose dad was a dick. He adopted me as his "real" dad. It was all about 190 knots @ 1000 feet and too cool.

It appears that you have to be a member of facebook to be able to see this?
I'm not a member nor choose to be.............
but I am a bit of an aircraft anorak, so was keen to see them...............shame.

The people engaged in promoting the fly-ins, ground crew and flight crew are in love with the old crates. It was a fantastic day for the old tech and I did have a wonderful time. It is amazing that they flew these at 30,000+ altitude with insulated flight suits and oxygen in a non pressurized hull and big open windows in the sides. It was one drafty old girl to be sure. The loud was great as well.
