Hmmmm, yes, and they do it in a 215mmX63mm (8.5"X2.5") size which would be pretty cool on an Evo/Oz
But I think it might be an older shock? (not currently listed on website....) but the others also look good.
just been added to my shopping list..............

I was able to find the tech manual on the Pearl on the Sram/Rock Shox website. http://www.sram.com/_media/techdocs/06RearCombo_English.pdf It must be a 2006 model. Just got the notice that the bike shipped. ;D ;D ;D

Aaaah Good, so you've bought it then?
That'll be good to get some first hand experience of another alternative shock.
Well done.

Interesting quote from the Pearl manual:
RIDING A BIKE IS DANGEROUS.
NOT PROPERLY MAINTAINING OR INSPECTING YOUR BIKE IS EVEN MORE DANGEROUS.
IT’S ALSO DANGEROUS NOT TO READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
Great!

Yeah, I needed an Evo with an aluminum swing arm for a project bike. Did I say, "need." O. K. wanted. I will mount the shock on my Oz to check for fit as well.

There is only NEED where bikes are concerned! <GRIN>
Good Man! Report back on the Oz fitment!

RS Pearl will NOT fit onto an unmodified OZ frame
Been there , tried that .

No, IMO, I do not doubt you, but I still had to try and put the Pearl on my Oz. It came really close. When I removed it from the Evo, I found that the previous owner had modified, not the frame, but the shock. A little bit was grounded off. It doesn't affect the shock at all, and it fits the Evo. Maybe I can remove a bit more, then a bit more and a bit more........

I ground a flat onto my Swinger where it contacted the rib/seam on the downtube of my Oz. Needed about 1/16 inch. No problems.
