Whoa this forum is Sweet!
« on: December 27, 2013, 03:01:04 pm »
Wow I just discovered the idriders! I have owned my 957 for 14 years. Rode the crap out of it for the first 4 years than it hung on a hook  :( Well fast forward 10 years. Divorce, kids gone, new girlfriend and what is old is new again  ;D Riding bikes, I forgot how fun it is. So now I need to fix it up a little. I just bought some NOS Mavic rims and some nice Hutchinson Toro tires. What I need to do is send in the Noleen shocks for a rebuild. I do have a weird issue with the Girvin forks I will be posting about and the aluminum frame needs polishing. When I used to ride it a lot sweat would drip down on the aluminum frame and it discolored the aluminum. My only thing is can I remove the Pro-flex stickers and polish the whole frame and than reapply new stickers. Sounds like a lot of work but maybe it's worth it. Fun fun fun. Oh yeah I have a Stumpy also thats a couple years newer but for now I am focusing on getting the 957 riding like a dream again.

Cool, I know the feeling of getting out to ride after a long break.  https://j6shocks.com/Mountain_Bike_Services.html will service your shocks if you can't find a local MC shop to do it.  They charge 100 bucks each.

Newbies are always welcome. Post lots of photos as they help to explain problems better and make for more interesting threads. 957's are very cool and seem to be the flavour of the month.
