welcome back Jinder ;)

...on another note, knowing that my 4500 only needs the crankset to finish my build, I will have an Oz-M frame soon as well (thx to Brycer). AND, i'll be looking at someone's old unused Proflex this sunday, for cheap cash....the current owner said it's a 653, but we shall see this weekend....I told him I was looking for a parts bike, mainly wanting a vector fork to replace the marzocchi xc300 I have on my 854...dying to see the condition of the bike (was already told the MCU's are melted lol)...

Yes welcome back Jinder. Is that your current collection of Proflexs or past and present? Nice bikes! Your links to the photos don't seem to work, or is that just me?

I dunno...haven't contacted the seller about it.   I did pick up that other I mentioned on Friday....on the phone, he said it was a 653... I don't ever recall there being one back then, and couldn't find the list of proflex bikes built in '93 lol...anyhoo, I met with him during my 4 hr break from work (LOL)...as I was pulling up to his driveway, he was standing with the bike near his S10 pickup....I already new I was going home with it.... It IS a medium 756, and in great shape, with the exception being the melted MCU all over the bike (replacements np) (:P), grips worn and deteriorating (easy replacements), an el-cheapo bmx seat was installed, and the seatpost was cut way too short for me (both are gonna get replaced)...no biggie, I figure less than $200 will bring it back to excellent working shape ;)

Just to prove I still have a working Proflex here's my 855. I don't usually commute on it but needs must today as I snapped the seatpost in my main commuter last week :o

So, 13 miles this morning on it. Not too bad. Still feeling the love.

Still feeling the love.
But is your 855 feeling the love?  It looks awfully cold, wet and forlorn waaay down there all by itself...  ;D

it's happy - it's being used! Better than the cold damp cellar at home! ;D

Ah, that's good!  I guess the cellar is a poorer option... no thoroughbred wants to live in the barn!

I almost lost my black dog last night... he went outside with the snow falling and decided to lie at the top of the slope in the snow and enjoy the night sounds and smells... enough snow fell to turn him white and I almost tripped over him when I went out to see why he wasn't already inside and in bed!

If he's fine with those conditions, I guess I can't judge your bike...  8)

Well, the 957 frame turned up and it's a beauty! Everything seems OK with it and it turns out it is a Medium, so;
a) I'm a bit upset as I'd have liked it as my road ride,
but;
b) I have been looking for a Medium for the Missus, so I guess I'll have to let her have it! <GRIN>

p.s. It didn't come with the Crosslinks, I'll probably put a set of Fournalles on it if I go to 29er and then use disc brakes.

Now the OZ is done I can file it here, with its friends..
The great thing about having these three is that the riding position feels nice and familiar but all three ride differently. Each one is an excellent bike.

My 1991 RF-1. Finally i decided to fit a Manitou I and not to use the xst ti flexstem, it was to narrow for me.
In the pic you can see the HED wheels, but I have a set of NOS black araya RM20s for it.

Hope you like it
