I thought that this would be appreciated....an updated photo of my 4500 CF build progress....note, the FSA Xtreme Orbit threadless headset is not 'set' yet...atm debating on using the stem and bars on it atm... the Noleen NR-4 shock is getting replaced by a Marzocchi Roco TST shock....ControlTech CF 90mm 5degree stem, Easton Havoc DH mid rise bar, FSA carbon pro team issue seatpost, Selle italia SL Flow saddle red and black, my SRAM X.0 9 speed gripshifts not installed until brakes arrive.....it's getting brand new SRAM X.0 deraileurs (3x9spd) and X.9 disc hubs, mavic rims, dt double butted spokes, Shimano 770 spd pedals, Clark Skeletal disc brakes 180 front, 160 back, brake therapy adapter (wish k2 or hammerhead adapters were still available :P)

get a look at the brand new custom paint on my Marzocchi 55 TST2 forks, no decals at all, baby  8)...
I'll be adding a few new decals to the frame to add some more personality   ;D

I haven't really thought about that, but being I plan on using and/or have quite a bit of CF and aluminum being used on the bike, my 854 still weighs in at less than 24 lbs atm, I'm probably going to try around 24-25 lbs...if its heavier, so be it...  the bike will still be a piece of art and a joy to ride when it is finished  8)
just like all my cars, I named my 854 - 'Bloody Red' or 'ol Red  when I refer to her...now to think of a name for my 4500 for when it's finished...i have a few names floating around in my head atm  ;)

Shaitaan, wait till after the first ride to name it. Depending on how it goes may help with the name. ;D

Yup. all I need now is a fork for the Animal and replacement elastomers or shock for the 954. I love the Girvin fork, it look so cool.

Here's the K2 with the fork and crankset.

I have XTR 8 speed shifters and rear derailleur I am going to put on along with the XT front will be nice

I would love Magura hydraulic Vs on there.

That crank isn't the one I am using (It's a 46 tooth chainring instead of 44), it was just what I had lying around as I couldn't wait to see it partially together.

Here's my 955:

Polished frame looks really nice and the bike's not too heavy considering it doesn't have all the weight weenie components. Took it out this morning for its first ride in 10 years. (Long cables and tape to hold them out of the way are temporary.)
