These bikes really need to be reproduced!!!! as does the crosslink fork

One already has (Dominic made his own) from proper carbon not thermo plastic.
no one was interested in buying so he only made his own.

Shame, really.
Just goes to prove that if it doesn't come from a big name brand, with tons of "you want this, NOW" marketing, it'll remain a niche market product.

I wonder what Callum's going to come up with? I've got to the stage when I find it virtually impossible to imagine a STIFF 5500.
Warranty replacements due to cracks detected in time (since 1989):
4x 'Dale M2000
3x 'Dale EST
2x steel stumpjumpers
2x 855
2x 856
2x Scott G-Zero +3x swingarms.
85kgs & I only race XC!

My Oz(pre-Simonized).     Simon's sealed bearing conversion for the swingarm, coupled with the Swinger shock, took out the wobble or flex feeling for me.

DOn't think I have ever posted mine.

My 955. This has a few vintage parts on the way. Hopefully I have it all before the end of the year.

My other Proflex 855 is in a sad state at the moment. Its soon to be kitted out with some fox floats, Truvativ Stylo Cranks, XT Hydro Discs and some other random bits.

The snake skin tyres were ment for my son's bike but he wanted 2.5s for his Foes down hill bike so they were going spare in the shed at the time.
The front forks are rock shox psylos stripped down and sprayed the same colour as the frame which is a metalic graphite grey ( sprayed in the garden hanging from the washing line),  i got the decals cut locally they are a carbon fibre vinyl they look the part but they don't show up too good in the photo, the gearing is all xt along with the brakes and shifters.
I have a few carbon items on the bike as i thought it matched the colour of the frame, seat post, bars, stem, bar ends and bottle cage the cables are also a sort of a carbon weave but again doesn't show up in the photos. the wheels are made by a company called xero they look good and i am happy with them, like you say its a bit different but i like them that way.

                         cheers dell............ ;D
