Stolen Oz-M
« on: September 17, 2011, 05:50:05 am »

It's 99 Oz-M. Stolen yesterday 9-16 in Astoria, Queens, NY. Pictured below but w/ CST skinny tires and Kore saddle. 'was my first dualie and had it since '99. Very distinct. The x-link fork has custom mount disc-tabs and rear disc-tab was bought from a vendor here. If seen anywhere pls email me at acastillo7@nyc.rr.com

Well, on the up side, if you see anyone riding a bike that looks at all like yours, you can safely mug them and steal it back, because you know nobody else has one.

The bike was locked inside the lobby at work. On reviewing the surveillance footage, it looks like an "inside job". Yup, i haven't seen any Oz-m's around here since I've owned it so God forbid I see someone riding mines somewhere....oh, well.....

the disc mount on the fork has a perforated plate glued to the leg. The cable guides on the frame were drilled-out for full cable housing. V-brake lugs deleted. Thanks for looking out

Thats really shit. How clear was the surveilllance footage and can you ID any one? The front disc mount is a real stand out and a one off(ish) so they wont be able to use it without getting noticed. Did you make it your self?

Yea, the fork  stands out and here's up close. I made 2 of that disc adapter and sold one here. The footage is being reviewed by a local detective - good amount from 2 cameras. We're not sure if it's a member of the facility or someone in the staff is involved and being protective. The LBS around here is aware and have seen that bike. Posted it on various sites on-line and made calls......thanks, fellas.
