Hello Everybody.

I have a ProFlex Beast and I'm looking for a good home for it.

ProFlex Beast, I believe its a '96 or '97.

Single owner, gave it to me to sell as he has no use for it. Probably less than 100 miles on this bike, spent most of the last 15 years in a shed. Frame, Wheels, Mech all like new.

This has Magura Hydraulic Rim Brakes, still work like new.

Shimano Deore XT derailleurs with Shimano Grip Shifters. 3 x 7

The elastomer suspension parts have melted over the years. This is the only damage to the bike, all of the graphics are in great shape!

$400 OBO, this is based on Bicycle blue book.

I am in Minnesota and can box this up and ship it. To help compensate for shipping cost I would be will to subtract $50 from the price to help pay for shipping. Please PM me if interested.

I have other pictures that I can email, but I was limited by attachment size.

I see you're in New England, as I said before I would take $50 off for shipping and I got a UPS estimate at $150. Looking at a total price of $450.

I might, but with you needing one this could be a good time to do the sealed bearing conversion. I have all the parts for the conversion, including a good, reamed swingarm, but I think I need a new axle to be made...not realizing how important a few thousandths can be for something like that I let the machinist use something he already had on hand that was just a hair too small...but the hair was enough.

So, if you're interested, here's what I have:
- carbon rear swingarm reamed for the sealed bearings
- the set of 4 sealed bearings
- the undersized axle, just for laughs (it is only a hair too small, though)
- the proper machined washers for retaining the bearings
- I think some Ti bolts for the ends
I'd let it all go for a reasonable price eventhough with the machining it probably cost me close to $170 to have done.

Alternately, I may also have a stock pivot kit. :-)

Well maybe, this caught me off guard. I finished my Oz-lite build with bushed pivots but have not broke them in yet. So I have just been riding it on the asphalt bike path a couple times a month or so.

I can make that pivot. So no problem there. What I don't have is that reamer.

Definitely still riding the 956LE...love the way it looks following the frame resto and the build featured all my favorite parts from the time: Coda/Magic 900 cranks & BB, ZIPP 515 rims with Coda/Hugi sealed bearing hubs and Sapim CXRay spokes, Thomson post, Kooka stem, yellow Maguras but with a modern drivetrain (the Sram X.0 series with the silver and carbon finish from a few years ago and an XTR M952 bottom swing front derailleur just 'cuz I like them).

Aside from that the other ride I recently built up was a circa 2000 Cannondale Super V 700SX with one of the first Lefty forks and discs. Definitely like that one, too.

For the swingarm, probably the only thing that comes to mind is that the black plastic cable holder had broken, which I replaced with a small metal clip to which I could ziptie the cable. It works well, and you can detach the cable without having to completely detach the cable from the derailleur.

Anyway, let me know...I can send all of the stuff listed above for maybe $45 plus shipping (which shouldn't be that much). Sorry I don't have pics with me but it was a well cared for 4000 and the swing arm shows it.
