I think I'm done buying Proflexes, but a 957 or 5500c could certainly make me do a 180 on that decision. Just interested in seeing pics of a nicely restored version.

I recently acquired a Noleen shock that appears to be gas charged and is six inches i2i with a 1" stroke, not counting if you mash the little bumper. it has an 8mm shaft and the outer diameter of the threaded portion of the shock body is 27mm. The upper eye is 8mm and the lower eye is 10mm. It has a threaded adjusting ring on it and appears to fit a spring that is 30mm id x 38mm od. There is no lower spring washer on it but that would be an easy fab.

Any identification? Offers?

Sorry, I used a poor choice of words when I said NOS and restored. I acquired a lightly used 957 frameset, and built it with non-original, but mostly period correct parts. I do have the Altek levers,and control tech parts, but they aren't on it right now. No Kooka or SRAM either. Here is what it looks like currently:

You just cant beat a shiny ProFlex. Very nice. Looks a nice place to ride aswell.

that's some saddle to handlebar drop

I've had to have all my Proflexes like that - but I usually run a hi-rise stem to off set it a bit.

Just dusted off my old second hand 856 and of course the elastomers had turned to goo.

Looks like "rapiddescent.co.uk" is no more. Are there any other sources for the COR springs or some other suitable replacement?

I'm at 180lbs at the moment.

Hi guys.

I am selling my Noleen NR 4 with two springs both are black, one says NB2-500 and other is softer as I weigh in at 14 st and is fine for me.

I also have a Hopey steering dampner for a xc bike with extra teeth in very good working order..
