I think that's even a 'Way Big' frame (there's a large gap between where the down tube and top tube meet on the head tube).

Well you remember the red Girvin Vector lower link that I posted here a while back, eh? I got my just desserts there from a buyer in Spain. He didn't want tracking or any of that other expensive stuff and claims he never received the part. Now papypal has charged it to me even though I have the US Customs barcode number (useless) and a negative balance in my paypal account. Whoopee! Somebody please gimme a smite for being an idiot!

Anyway, if you happen to see a red anodized, new old stock Girvin lower link that nobody else has ever heard of or seen, let me know so I can see if I got hosed more than I hosed myself. I'll be going through USPS to try and get some kind of verification but paypal really doesn't care if I get reimbursed by them....., they still charge me.

On a better note, I did pick up a longer steer tube on ebay to convert one of my old forks to the divorced stem style. Now I just need the upper link/shock mount to complete. I may try to make on on the mill but it ain't no CNC machine.

I will be keeping an eye on his ebay to see if he ever tries to sell it. Probably just got lost in Spanish Customs though. On a lighter note of bad, and good news....... I was seheduled to ride a vintage B-17 bomber from South of Portland Oregon to Tacoma Washington today and after car-pooling down found that the plane was full. A local journalist who adopted me as his dad arranged this as a father's day gig while he does a ride along for a story with pictures. Good news is, we rode back on what may be the only B-24 still flying. Still buzzed about the ride and the roaring of those huge radials cutting the air. Crew chief gave us the run of the plane from take off to touch down. Took a bunch of pics.

Excellent- post them up in the off topic section..............I was lucky enough to get a reserach pass to the RAF museum in Hendon for a day, many years ago- a college friend was pals with the REME museum curator, and they wanted to measure and take pics of a few planes- got to have a good poke round at many classic planes (Me110 looked strangely incongruous with the BMW roundels on it's engine cowlings- you're so used to seeing it as a luxury car logo!!), and I sat in the pilot's seat of the Lysander!!!

There happened to be an air show on this weekend when I was visiting in Margate. Was lucky enough to see a Lancaster,Hurricane,Spitfire and a Vampire flying around. Sounded awesome!

W2zero did you originaly get that red lower link from some one in UK about a year ago? There was a guy selling two new old stock ones on ebay and I got one from him. Still have bill of sale as mine arrived ok ....luckily....

No Spokes, I bought the red lower link, several ODS shocks and a small 55/56 Animal frame from a guy who dealt out of the back of his car. Sketchy to say the least but all new parts. There appeared to be smoke damage on some of the packages so I suspect they were salvaged from a business fire and kept below the insurance company radar. The last stash of Proflex parts within twenty-five miles of there sold out at least ten years ago and just prior to a fire that was the end of a bike shop. Angel claimed the parts came from his grandfather's garage. Angel's sister-in-law drew the drapes once she knew that he was going to do business in the street.

Angel has some more to sell. He only had one of the 855/856 frames before and I bought it. The one I didn't buy at that time was the older style that didn't use a shock, circa '54-ish, just elastomers but the world cup style frame. If anyone is interested in further information, let me know. Shipping info is zip 98407 usa. He did have a bunch of stems too. Both the elastomer stems and the upper shock mount stems as well and all new in the box.

I've got a used Girvin fork with a Noleen NR-1 on it that I need to get out of my garage. The legs could use repainting, but structurally they're fine. Anyone interested in taking it off my hands for, say US$80 + S&H?

I'll post a couple pics of it when I get home from work.
