Definately a small, look at the upper shock mount hole going thru the toptube.

Wasn't this the same mount hole configuration that caused problems with the 857's Small frames? Anyone know if these bikes had ongoing problems due to the placement of the rear shock/mount hole?

they didnt have any problems in themselves but they had a slightly different shock(to enable it to fit between the gussets of the shock mount).All the other sizes used a "normal" shock

That is right. The small frame has a cutout in the toptube, and for some reason they left some material in the toptube that created the need for a notch in the shock body. So hence you are hemmed in by that notch if the shock fails, which is why the previous owner gave up on the bike.

What I did is dremmel the notch out to fit a conventional NR1 that Kiwi graciously sold me. So far there has been no stressing of the toptube, but I assume that is the reason Proflex designed it that way.

its with a very heavy heart that im having to put my beloved oz up for sale, the credit crunch has crunched a bit hard on my household and now i need to sell something of a bit of value to undig a hole me and the mrs are in at the moment, im gutted to have to do it but its definately a case of needs must. obviously this will be for uk only sale and i could be tempted to break it up and sell frame and forks and such like but i would rather sell it as a complete bike as it stands in the pics (i will wash it). if anyone is interested pop me a pm and ill list the full spec, im not going to put a price on it so im open to sensible! offers and sorry no swaps. it may yet end up on ebay in a couple of weeks but i would like it to stay in the family so to speak.

postage is to be arranged but it may be better to come to some other agreement.

anyone fancy videoing their riding exploits? im selling my helmet/bar cam as im skint

its an oregon scientific atc1000. while it might not be the best cam on the market mines probably the cheapest. the cam itself is in perfect working order and comes with mount, 1gb sd card + sd card reader, 4 x aaa batteries and charger and instructions only thing i cant find at the moment is the velcro strap for the mount but i used cable ties as theyre far more secure and also the rubbish software that came with it (although ive burned the software i have on my pc onto cd i dont know if it will work). i always ran it through windows media player using the card reader rather than plugging the cam in as its quicker. i will only post to the uk and all im asking for it is £35 plus £3 p&p.
