Title: Can you fit a 44T Crank on a 856?

So can you fit a 44T crank on a 856? I dont think it will work cause of the front gear, u cant move it any higher, what you guys think?

I have a 46T on my 856, but it probably depends on the size of frame you have.  Mine is an 18".

I was going to try to fit a 48T on there by shaving down the deraileur clamp, but I think I am going to use an 11-30 rear cassette.

By using larger front chainrings, you move the chainline up and make the bike more active.

I have a 20" 856 with a 44T and no problem.  I've seen a 44T on a 16" frame too if it helps.  I think you'd be fine with the 44T.
