Hey lads,
How much did you pay for your carbons in the UK.. Europe, USA.
Doesn't really apply to anyone who bought thiers for 4 grand in 1998... more interested in feedback for people who ahve bought bikes recently, new or used...
My wife bought a new frame in 2002, one of the last ones, nice shiny finish, unused, and we built it up with new parts for her.... 6 hours of riding later she has moved on and I am selling her bike in a local shop over here...
XSiV disc brakes, HammerHead, Marzocchi 2002 fork-simple one- Shimano wheelset, deore rear mech, XT cassette, 8speed shimano shifters with windows, XT BB... and mostly good quality stuff I would rate as "LX or XT" even though it isn't shimano.
Pro~Flex 959 Decals on it...
Question is... I have put a price tag of 18 500 swedish kronor on it.
which is:
€2000 Euro
$2400 USD
$1360 GBP
Am I out of my mind.... should I be asking for more.. hardly...or less... probably???
Comments... anyone?
Mike.

You certainly won't get that much on eBay, but you may get lucky elsewhere. These incredible frames seem to be highly undervalued, which is great if you're trying to buy one, but sucks when you want to sell. Here are some recent examples on eBay:

Did see one closer to $1000USD recently. However, I've seen several nice ones with Buy it Now prices in the $1100-1200 range that didn't sell).
Here's an example of a frame. They usually go for under $400.

Prices may be very different in Sweden/UK though. Good luck!

They are great bikes-wonderful handling and small bump compliance but, the value is not found until you've ridden one over your favorite trails! That said, I bought mine-new frame & shock for $499 US
